Lumbini, 2023/10/2 – A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Lumbini Buddhist University and the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation, marking a new era of collaborative effort to transform society and propagate Buddhism. The signatories were Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Subarna Lal Bajracharya from Lumbini Buddhist University and Vice President Lin Pi-Yu from the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation.
Under the MOU, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation will extend scholarships to students of Lumbini Buddhist University, allowing them to specialize in rural development. After graduation, students will have the opportunity to work with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation to continue their mission to effect societal transformation and spread the teachings of Buddhism.
The Bachelor of Arts in Rural Development is currently offered at the university’s central campus in Lumbini. Prospective students seeking admission and scholarship information are encouraged to contact the campus directly.
