After promulgation of Academic Master Plan, LBU has been expanding new mileage in its academic journey. In this academic year 2074/75 BS, LBU has introduced following courses:
Certificate Level Language Class:-
Proficiency in Buddhist canonical languages is the foundation for intensive studies of Buddhism. Realizing the importance of proficiency in Buddhist canonical language Lumbini Buddhist University has envisioned introducing one-year certification level courses in Pali, Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese languages. In this regards, LBU has introduced Certificate in the Sanskrit Language in last academic year 2073/74 and Certificate in Pali and Certificate in Tibetan Language courses from this academic year 2074/75 at Central Campus, Lumbini.
Bachelor in Buddhism, Travel and Tourism Management:-
LBU has launched four-year Bachelor of Buddhism, Travel and Tourism Management (BBTTM) in the midst of its 13th Univesity Day on 14th Mansir 2073. It is a multidisciplinary course with duly accommodating Buddhist Studies in the travel and tourism management is commenced in Butwal from this academic year. The main objectives of this course are to provide a foundation for students to develop their theoretical as well as empirical knowledge on the field of Buddhism, Travel and Tourism Management which enables the students to compete in the 21st-century job market in the tourism and hospitality industry as middle-level manager. This course opens up the wide variety of services provided by travel and tourism industry while developing the business knowledge and skills required for success in the tourism sector.
