On May 9 at 10 a.m.(China Time), representatives from Lumbini Buddhist University visited Chongqing Normal University to discuss potential cooperation opportunities. The delegation included Dr. Tilak Ram Acharya, Acting Vice Chancellor, Dr. Hari Sharan Chakhun, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Kumar Khadka, Director of the Center of International Relations. The meeting was attended by Director Zha Zhi of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Liu Mei, deputy dean of the International School of Chinese Culture, Wang Liping, secretary of the party committee of the School of History and Sociology, Professor Kong Lingyuan, and other relevant personnel.
Director Zha Zhi warmly welcomed the guests and gave a brief introduction to the University’s international exchanges and cooperation. The two sides then engaged in fruitful discussions on the memorandum of understanding on inter-school cooperation and expressed preliminary intentions for collaboration in scientific research, teacher-student exchanges, project co-construction, and international Chinese education.
Dr. Acharya expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and fruitful discussions. He expressed his hope that the two universities could establish cooperative relationships in various fields in the near future, strengthen exchanges, and achieve win-win development.
